The first 3 things (10 minutes)

  1. Check your lease term, deposit amount, registered address and fixed-date stamp.
  2. Look up the property registry (iros.go.kr) for ownership changes, mortgages and seizures.
  3. Ask the landlord in writing for the return date and keep the reply.
